Hello all. Happy Easter. I know currently a lot of people are celebrating while I on the other hand am listening to Ace of Base and sketching out tattoo designs that I'll never get done. My life. I figured I'd give a quick update on my healthy eating journey as well as talk about one of my favorite things to drink...Tea. The human body is made up of mostly water. Mine on the other hand is probably mostly tea. Being a young southern woman I love some old fashioned sweet tea. I actually ridicule people if they serve me their idea of what sweet tea is and it is NOT sweet. How dare you. I digress. Recently I have had to cut back on my tea intake. All that sugar in my system was not good. If you ever want to see me lose it take away my sweet tea and replace it with water. I'll either tackle you or cry. Now I want to talk about the teatox program I recently finished and how I feel about the teas, prices, and results.
One thing that helped with my addiction is I replaced my normal sweet tea with better options. Yes, water was one of the options, but also SkinnyMint Morning Boost tea. I know it is still tea, but cold turkey was not in the cards for me. I mainly drink tea in the mornings since I have early classes. I initially purchased the 14 starter pack for the SkinnyMint teas that included the morning and night teas. Whenever I think of detox teas I usually think of bad things. Such as being on the toilet for hours or just feeling gross because it taste horrible. I was actually pleasantly surprised with this starter pack though. In true M clumsy fashion I didn't do it right figuring I had to drink them both everyday. That wasn't the case at all. The morning tea is daily while the night is every other day. Either way they were delicious and the Morning Boost was just what I needed to kick-start my mornings. With a slice of lemon you can be on your way. It also helped me with my hunger until proper lunch time so I wouldn't need to snack before lunch. The night tea was not as popular with me just because I'm not a fan of licorice root. It did grow on me eventually though.
The one downside I will say is that it's not cheap. It is effective though so that almost makes up for it. For the 14 day starter pack it's $29.90. So if you have wanted to try a tea that taste good and helps with that horrible belly fat that doesn't seem to go away, I say invest in it. It is a bit pricey for my taste. I compared it to the Teavana Weight To Go tea and it is just not the same. The Teavana tea isn't as good and doesn't help with the bloating as much. The morning boost tea is definitely good to keep on hand during that time of the month ladies. I follow a lot of other teatox companies on Instagram and honestly SkinnyMint probably has some of the best prices. For a 28 pack of the Morning Boost it is also $29.90 not including tax or shipping. The thing I like about it is that it gives you a natural pick up without the crash. There are some green teas that do this too. I think the next time I have a little extra cash on hand and don't have to pay for my cap and gown I'm definitely going to be purchasing the morning boost tea again. All I will say about the night cleanse tea is that it works. You will be cleaned out and the bloating goes away. Both teas help boost the metabolism as well. I saw pretty good results from just doing the 14 day starter and eating right. I assume that if you add working out to that equation it is even better. Until then I'm going to go with a powerful green tea and see how that compares. This is just a review and I'm not getting offered anything. Just thought I'd write an update. I'll let you know what I think. Check out SkinnyMint and see what you think.
