So today I thought I would talk about the best facial mask out there. Once again another Instagram find. I swear Instagram is going to make me broke soon. For a couple of months now I'm been using the TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Facial Mask. I had been seeing pictures all over Instagram of people with green faces holding up the mask container. Curiosity eventually got the better of me and I decided to visit the TruSelf website. I will first say any who suffer from stubborn acne or inflammation you need to listen up.
I am a bit apprehensive with any facial product especially if it is an all natural product. Like I've said before in previous posts I am allergic to the most random things and half of the time those things are put right into skincare products. The first thing I do when I look of the Detoxifying mask is look at the ingredients. Let me just tell you any other skincare product website needs to take notes from TruSelf. Not only do they tell you what ingredients are included, but each has a brief description so you know just what it is. The detoxifying mask is a clay mask without all the harsh chemicals. It is a clay blend featuring Dead Sea Clay and Moroccan Red Clay. They also have a #loveyourself section that has written out all the bad stuff that is not included in their mask. This list includes no parabens, no petroleum, no sodium lauryl sulfate (my personal enemy), no phthalates, and no artificial fragrances or dyes. Now keep in mind the product is not vegan because it contains collagen, but it is worth it.
Upon first getting the mask I have to admit I thought it was in a rather small container for $20. I opened it and was surprised to find out it was a power. Usually when I purchased masks they are already mixed up and just ready to go, but I do see the benefit in having it was a powder. You can make your mask as thick or as thin as you want. I personally like a little bit of a thinner mask so I can still somewhat move my face. So I took a small spoon and used about half of the space on that to pick the powder up. After mixing it I put it on my face after I had already scrubbed and washed my face. It didn't sting or smell bad at all. It was cooling and felt soothing on the skin. After letting it dry for about 30 minutes I first looked at my face for a second. The makes works by drawing out toxins and bacteria and cleansing the pores. I could actually see the stuff it was drawing out of my skin. After rinsing it off I could see the dramatic difference in the inflammation and the size of my pores. It is safe to say I was hooked from that moment on.
With this mask a little does actually go a long way and you will be able to use it longer. I personally use the mask when my acne is getting out of control for the day and I just need to flush out my pores and tighten my skin. The morning after using my skin has a lovely refreshed glow and my pores are smaller. Now the mask is a part of a 3-step kit. I just bought the mask itself because I wanted to try it. Maybe one day I'll look to get the other steps since the mask is such a great find. The mask does cost $19.50 before shipping and tax. I know that's a little bit up there for the Budgeting Beauty feature, BUT IT WORKS! I have never encountered a mask that works so well. I know I will be purchasing another once my first one runs out. I suggest anyone with acne who wants to see it gone and your skin tightened should get this mask. It last a while if you don't overuse and understand what amount to use for your face. I sometimes even use it on my shoulders and chest. All in all a great product and it gets the stamp of approval from this budgeting beauty.
